Forward with Nurin Alert

After being given an extensive coverage by Tell Magazine last December, followed by a fair share of coverages by almost all the nation's mainstream print media, Nurin Alert had again caught the attention of another News Magazine, Forward, which is touted to be "Malaysia's Leading News Magazine".

Though its coverpage did not give the slightest hint of its coverage on Nurin Alert, articles on Nurin Alert plus updates on the Nurin's, Preeshena's and Sharinie's cases actually took 7 solid pages of the magazine's February edition that had hit the newstands a couple of days ago.
On Nurin Alert, an article titling "Nurin Alert - Stop another Nurin tragedy" invited readers to understand the significance of the proposed Nurin Alert, how the idea came through, its proposed modus operandi, the implementation of its sisters' mechanisms in the US and in Korea, the roles played by bloggers in pushing and implementing the idea through, the whatever little achivements of the CFNA as well as its future planning.

There is also a little write-up on Amber Alert, just to give the readers an idea on the origins of the mechanism that had inspired Nurin Alert.

On the Nurin tragedy itself, an article "A nation won't forget Nurin and other lost little girls" had not only revisited the tragedy but had also made references to the current search for missing Sharlinie.

Retailing at only RM5.00 in Malaysia and being distributed to other parts of the world as well, this latest reading material is yet another must get document for those interested to learn more about Nurin Alert as well as for those who want to get themselves abreast with the latest twists and turns of the Nurin tragedy.

Other interesting articles that you can find in the magazine includes stories on Tun Dr. Siti Hasmah, Migrant workers, Hindraf and a lot more on the upcoming General Elections, Sami Yusof the entertainer etc.

Get a copy of Forward today and enjoy reading.

The police need to give a full alert to all parents. sadly, we had to lose nurin to learn from this bitter and painful lesson, and ninie is still missing with little or no leads at all. how many child need to be abducted or murdered before we go full scale on prevention issues? No family or child deserve any of such treatment, imagine the pain they had to go through daily, waiting and waiting and not knowing what happen to their daughter or son?

it is stressful indeed just to think about it...agree with marykate that prevention is very very important at this momment...

this people who kidnaped Nurin and Sharlinie (and what they did to Nurin) is not human...they are satan...and we have to do something about it...government have to think of preventive strategy to tackle this issue rather than talking about development etc...it is sickening really to think that our children is not safe anymore in this country

tuan-tuan & puan-puan,

remember when asked abt the progress of nurin's investigation (prior to sharlinie's abduction)?

IGP when answered those questions seemed kind of uptight and somtimes a bit 'lazy'.

maybe they thought,it wont happend again,if it bound to re cur,it wld be like yin's case but not nurin's.

first solution to prevent the sickos of these kind develop is to stop child abuse, child neglect, child bullying, intimidation and all sort of eveyrthing of that.

yesterday, i read a paper on a mother was asked to pay rm3k for abusing her 9 yrs old daughther.

her defence for 'abuse' was her dghtr was very lazy to do homework s,naughty and stubborn. she burned her dghtr's finger & feet with burning candle apart of beatings!

dont tell me the abuse justify with the naughtiness done by the child..i feel insulted!

when the abused child dont get proper help, they turned to violence and some cases turned to mental unstability.A lot of anger develops and the consequences of these kind of abuse/punishment 'legacy' will fall to the next generation.

bad parents & guardians need counselling.

Unicorn, not only they need guardian and counselling...but need to be jail for a certain period of time...

this people have mental issue ...

in Islam it is very clear that we cannot hit a child in the face and not to injured them...this also apply to the wife...

and if they did to the wife for example ...the wife can apply for fasakh (dissolution of marriage).

takzir is applicable if they did this to a child...and in Malaysia of course we have the act that protect children and woman...

people who hit their wife and child is sick people...and this kidnappers who kill Nurin and kidnap sharlinie is sick and dangerous people...they should no doubt get a DEATH PENALTY and hopelfully before that the police torture them first...

MRSAD,

Unicorn,

You couldn't have said it better. You're right - it's quite alarming how some parents view abuse as disciplanary parenting. How do we treat this issue? It's a worrying trend. What's equally alarming is according to studies, half of the children who are the product of abuse tend to become abusers themselves in their adulthood, and worse, sexual abusers.

The cycle never ends.

diantaranya extensive study done by Dr dorothy lewis, psychiatrist & Dr jonathan pincus, neurologist.

sy ada terbaca satu berita MM,3/2/08(baru terbaca...)

MURID BERJAYA LEPASKAN DIRI DRPD PENCULIK
