Dad : Help find my little girl

By KULDEEP S. JESSY

PETALING JAYA: Sleep has not come easy for taxi driver Jazimin Abd Jalil, whose eight-year-old daughter has been missing since Monday.

The girl – Nurin Jazlin Jazimin – a Year Two pupil of SK Desa Setapak, failed to return home after going to the night market in Wangsa Maju at about 8.30pm.

According to Jazimin, the girl, who is the second among four of his children, would usually go to the night market with his elder daughter aged nine.

However, he said that on that day, her mother Norazian Bistaman, 35, allowed her to go alone thinking that nothing would happen to her as the night market is located just a stone's throw away from their flat.

“When she did not return, I decided to search for her but could not locate her anywhere. The traders in the night market had also not seen her,” he said, adding that he had since searched for the girl as far as Setapak with the help of his relatives and neighbours.

“Please help find my little girl and bring her home!” I am worried for her safety as she has a kidney problem and suffers from high blood pressure.

“She has to take her daily dose of medication otherwise her body will bloat-up. It's already three days now and she has not taken any medicine,” said the 33-year-old father, adding that without the medicine the girl's health could deteriorate.

Jazimin added that he has lodged a police report at the Wangsa Maju police station.

Sentul deputy OCPD Supt Zainuddin Ahmad confirmed the incident and called on those who had seen the girl or know her whereabouts to contact the nearest police station.
