Preeshena's Dad : ‘It was as though she mati katak’

In Mid December, this weblog registered an entry by a visitor by the nickname "Prisi Mother" with the message
help me to find her killer... please for us the keadilan tuhan akan berikan kepada pembunuh itu..

kami plan to sue the management sebab tak responsible dlm keselamatan condo..

apa pendapat anda.. bolehkah kami teruskan?

Though I have not managed to verify the authenticity on the identity of the writer, I started a poll nevertheless.

The poll closed yesterday and from the 205 votes received, 91% of the respondents said that Preeshena's Mother should sue the Condo Management.

In today's Malay Mail, there is this report citing Preeshena's dad frustration with the police's probe on the murder, his plans to proceed with suing the Condo management as well as being slighted by the fact that Preeshena's unsolved case was not even mentioned in a television special on the year's round-up as aired recently.

Here's the full report :-

WHEN contacted yesterday, Preeshena Varshiny’s father, known only as Ravindran, told The Malay Mail that the family had moved out of Casa Mila Tower.

"We stayed for one month but the memories were too much for us. My wife is still traumatised and we cannot take it anymore,” the anguished father said.

The 40-year-old said he will continue with his plans to sue the condominium’s management.

“I approached them before my daughter was murdered to install more CCTVs but I was told that the management did not have the budget. “Now it seems they do have the budget.”

“If they had taken me seri- ously, my daughter would still be alive. The management is answerable for that.

“I feel as though my daughter had to sacrifice her life for change to be implemented.”

He also said he was hurt by a local television show —a roundup of the worst tragedies of 2007 —which was aired recently.

“The host mentioned the Nurin tragedy but there was no mention of my daughter’s murder. It is as though she mati katak ( die d in vain). There was so much at- tention in the beginning but now it’s like people no longer remember, ” he said.

The family held a Press conference on Dec 5 to express dis- pleasure with the police probe into the murder.

“Whenever people ask me about my daughter’s case, I do not know what to tell them as I have nothing to say.”

On Nov 9, four foreigners, an Indian national and three Sri Lankans renting an apartment nearby were arrested and remanded until Nov 16 under the Immigration Act.

Results of tests on 31 DNA samples taken from security guards and workers at the con- dominium did not match semen samples taken from the scene where Preeshena was believed to have been raped and sodomised.

I wouldn't know whether the poll had a bearing on Preeshena's Dad decision on proceeding with the suing plans but I must thank all visitors for participating in the poll.

Let's hope that Year 2008 would be a better year than the year we have just left behind. No more another "Nurin", no more another "Preeshena".

maybe parents of children who are victims of violent crimes need to form a group..stronger voice to pressure police and get justice..and help keep the cases alive...I have a feeling more could have been done in Presheena's murder sebab all the evidence is in the area! did the police check house to house? They should..only they have the right to in that situation..the use of tracker dogs immediately after the murder..scents stills strong...just wondering..if all these cases remain unsolved and no priority given...what is the police for? IGP, we don't need a PR firm...we need more training and more funds channeled towards the improving the salary and the training of cops...and instilling a sense of pride in their work..parents...kalau boleh get together and form a victims' group...maybe it's easier said than done...but you need to keep the pressure on the cops...I really believe in Presheena's case the culprits are living there.

Laporan Utusan Online

Pasukan khas siasat dalang DVD seks

KUALA LUMPUR 3 Jan. – Ibu Pejabat Polis Bukit Aman telah menubuhkan pasukan khas menyiasat pengedaran cakera video digital (DVD) mengandungi perlakuan seks membabitkan bekas Menteri Kesihatan, Datuk Seri Dr. Chua Soi Lek.

Buat apa bersungguh2 nak siasat Kes DVD?

salam maal hijrah 1429.

Justin is right, kena banyak lagi komen kat dalam blog ni..we have to keep it alive and kicking all the time..semalam dari pagi sampai malam ada dua jer komen...

...come on kita nak orang tau kita masih mahu kes Nurin dan Presheena diselesaikan...ini adalah salah satu caranya...

come on ....tomorrow saya akan outstation until 14 tak jumpa computer...harap harap bila balik ada sribu komen kat sini

Zulkifli said...

yes Muhammad itulah masalahnya kes DVD lucah diberi keutamaan yang mana kedua dua pihak mendapat kepuasannya sudah...cari pihak yang install cctv dakwa habis citer sama dengan kes autopsy juga ceriternya...satu libatkan VIP dan satu golongan biasa macam kita ni semua...

satu hero dah mengaku salah cuma orang merakamkan belum dapat dan satu lagi perakam belum lagi didakwa...apalagi pengedar

bukan nak interfere dengan siasatan polis tapi pandangan..bak kata metallica and Justice for all...

I think one of the best way to keep Nurin's memory alive is via Nurin Alert. Maybe Jasni can give us some idea on the development of Nurin Alert. It's time for all caring people to take this to a higher and more responsible level via Nurin Alert. The only way we can avoid another Nurin or Presheena is making sure Nurin Alert goes full force. We all love Nurin and knew her as from blogs, news as if she was related to us. I visit this blog daily and there is only as much one can say or do on this, however, via Nurin Alert, we are talking about saving precious lives, saving lives of someone like Nurin or even someone we know in the future. Let's push forward on Nurin Alert.

With this, I wish all a Happy New year 2008, let's do something really positive on Nurin Alert. If there is anything we can do for Nurin will be via Nurin Alert.

cant blame presheena's dad from feeling that way.

how the editors/reporters susun priority news tu betul2 lah kelam kabut.

plg kelam kabut paper kosmo!.sensation news/hot news disusun bagi 2007 tu tanpa date & month happened.it was done in points tapi kelam kabut.cth;kematian 'public figure' tulis waktu mati tapi bulan dan date tarak!.my advice;improve analysis skill & writing sense!.

truthfully,i'm not to be bias nor prejudice, kes nurin lebih attention (or tragic) kerana lamanya arwah menderita sblm ajal.
maybe arwah was bounded & gagged everyday when the killers went to work! or maybe she was left to die in empty house w/out nobody knowing it.

apakah jenis manusia mengurung kanak2 yg kesakitan dan kebuluran yg amat sebegitu?

frankly speaking, hati ini tidak akan merasa parah sgt jika nurin ditemui mati beberapa jam selepas hilang. dont get me wrong, it's not what i'd wanted. saya sendiri mempunyai anak sebaya dr 1st day bila mengetahui kehilangan nurin, hati terus berdoa agar dia temui selamat namun iblis2 telah menang!

But NOT for long! nanti kantoi la tu!

I sympathize wIth latest case...Wan Zaleha Radzi...we don't know what she went through during her terror ride..police MUST relase photofits of all the suspects involved including the two chineses ladies kidnapped and raped and released and the lady found kat subang Jaya lake naked and half dead, raped...why haven't any photofits been released????

Police set-up a special task force it says in Star for Wan Zaleha's case...did they for Nurin and Presheena and others? I really would love to know.

Why are the cops wasting men and funds and forensics' teams on the Health Minister case??? So that the politicians in BN will be saved?? Saved from having hidden cameras parading their bare, naked, shriveled old buttocks dijaja to the Malaysian public???

What about Nurin's naked and cut up body dijaja on the bloody internet for the whole world?? Who gives a fak about naked old men banging their young prostitutes and embarrassing their wives???

WHAT ABOUT OUR DEAD AND TERRORISED WOMEN AND KIDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tehsin Mukhtar said...

Ha, baru terbaca pendita alam punya posting...memang geram kan????

I wish we can picket or something depan office IGP or Pak Lah! Or send them a memo!!!

Zulkifli said...

way to go tehsin..why setting up a task force to watch pornographic DVD...come on la.... buang karan jer...kita perlukan sesuatu task force untuk kes Nurin , Presheena dan beberapa kes jenayah rogol bunuh yang belum selesai...bak kata our ex-health Minister "safety first" keselamatan di dahulukan dan keselamatan ini adalah keselamatan rakyat...kalau dah nak pergi jogging pun boleh kena rogol zaman sekarang ni memang tak selamat....pergi pasar malam tak selamat...apa nak jadi...

Hi profile case=high profile attention=high profile investigation, this DVD investigation will eventually go away, culprits scots free. Just like Nurin or Presheena's killer, or those who distributed the autopsy picture. Malaysian Police style. Everything is hangat hangat tahi ayam, sad but true, and I want to seen and challenged that I am wrong.

izsahani said...

investigating team telah ditubuhkan untuk kes Nurin Jazlin diketuai Asst Supt Loh Pei Pei, tak silap kan?

Jika saya salah, tolong betulkan...

Tehsin Mukhtar said...

Mary Kate, Pendita, Zul, etc..

Rasa macam nak set up "Mothers for a Safe Malaysia" je..take it into our own hands...talk to people, kids, schools, lobby politicians, police, VOICE OUT AND BE HEARD...wish I had the strength and time...WHAT ARE ALL THESE LEADERS DOING? ARE THEY BLIND?? ISN'T THIS THEIR JOB??

Memang betul ada team tu, tapi gambar autopsy tu pun tak leh solve...apa ke jadahnye...kalu si jahat tu boleh fham gak la..tapi kes Health Minister pun dia dah tangkap org..ni si Nurin violated again after her death depa biarkan je..si jantan tua tu adultery...depa nak selamatkan

Lang said...

Assalamualaikum, salam sejahtera...

Ari ni dlm buletin tv3 ada menyiarkan berita tertangkapnya seorang wanita yang disyaki menjadi pengedar DVD tu. Wah... sungguh cekap bapak pulisi kita.

Berita DVD tersiar baru hampir seminggu tapi dah dapat tangkap. Dah la laporan rasmi polis tak dibuat pun.

Lang said...

En Zul.. mungkin kite takde jodoh kot.

Lang said...

Geng blogers... kalau kerajaan ambil tindakan bantu percepatkan Nurin Alert sepantas mereka mengujudkan suruhanjaya khas, badan siasatan khas dan macam2 khas lagi kan best.
