School : Is your child ready for it (with a session on Nurin Alert included)

As duly corrected by Dayang Lily, the title of this posting has been changed accordingly.

Thanks to Dayang Lily for clearing the air on the status of the talk. To all readers, please be assured that there have been no attempts to commercialise the Nurin Alert initiative. Instead, what is currently being undertaken is the continuing promotion of Nurin Alert so that more and more people understand its concept and thus therefore would render their support to ensure its introduction and implementation in the country.

Salam Jasni.

Allow me to repost my earlier comment sent to Rocky's Bru "3 cops died in the line of duty and the PM says..." posting.

Rocky, any death is a tragedy, unfortunate and a great lost, especially more if it was caused by criminals. My condolence to both families of the late L/Kpl K Jayabalan and L/Kpl R Rajakumaran.

The Star yesterday reports:
A furious Musa also wants his men to use all resources available to bring to book the trigger-happy gunmen who also shot and wounded two police Inspectors during the incident at Kampung Desa Aman.

“My priority now is to catch these cop killers.”

Reading the above got me even more furious. I just hope somebody from the police force (if not Tan Sri Musa himself reading this) will convey this message to him, for I really need to know. Why, only when it involved your own, you get furious? Furious enough to want your men to use all resources available to bring to book the trigger-happy gunmen? Even making it your PRIORITY now?

I don’t see nor read anywhere in the print media on you saying something similar or to the same effect when Nurin died. Until today, her killer is still out there! Her death don't deserve such priority? Now that the priority is on the cops killers, Nurin’s killer/s can breathe easy I suppose.

Al-Fatihah buat Nurin.

I pray for you both, L/Kpl K Jayabalan and L/Kpl R Rajakumaran. Rest in peace.

im sorry but i dont understand why do ppl has to pay to attend the talk?
things like this shudn be charged and nobody shud try and make money out of it! this is so very disgusting.

Why is there other talks, personally I did not mind contributing but not as a payment as such. The program should be totally on our dear Nurin Jazlin Alert.

ALFATIHAH DEAR NURIN JAZLIN, I will not be able to rest in peace until the killer is executed.

Betul kata patriot.

Please do not commercialise NURIN JAZLIN ALERT. It will make me feel sad. Let us do it as a basis of charity and we will contribute sincerly toward the funds....

Salam,

On behalf of UmmikuSayang, I need to clarify on the talk that we are organising:

(1) The title, with all due respect En Jasni, should not be "Talk on Nurin Alert". The actual title for the talk is "School: Is Your Child Ready?".

(2) We have planned for the talk since September and have invited the speakers (Pn Zairani & Ruth Liew) by then. We have made bookings for the venue and all soon after Raya holidays, BEFORE Nurin Alert was publicised.

(3) I read about Nurin Alert in one of the local newspaper and thought it would be good to invite them to come and share with the parents who are coming for the talk on what it is all about and how they can help too. It is to show support to the committee since we have a talk planned for parents, so why not share this information with these parents?

(4) Pls note that our main speakers are given 1.5 hours each to talk on their own topics (pls refer to the flyer) and Nurin Alert Committe is to share for 20-30 mins. So the talk is mostly on how to prepare your child for school, i.e on reading skills, social and safety skills, NOT entirely on Nurin Alert.

(5) The fees are charged for the MAIN speakers, since we are paying them for their time and expertise. Pls note the credentials of these speakers. The fees that we are charging is really reasonable considering their expertise.

Please don't jump the gun and accuse us without first checking on the facts. We appreciate the support that the committe has given us in accepting our invitation to share with the parents.

I had even seeked permission from the committee and En Jasni had personally given me the PERMISSION to include the Nurin Alert talk in my flyers. If he and the committee had not given their approval, I would have omitted that info from my flyers.

I hope this clarifies the matter. We, as a motherhood community, shares the pain of losing one's child too and WILL NOT in any way want to manipulate such an incidence for commercial gain.

Regards,
Dayang Lily Abang Muas

patriot, I indicated the same in response to the same comment from one of the bloggers in the previous entry. This is what I've said :

Macam not interested to know about the case. Tu lah aku kata dalam blog ari tu, aku kata kat Tuan KPN, jangan lah cam tu...nanti kena kat cucu ke, anak ke, anak sedara ke, etc, apa rasa? Ni tengok...orang dia kena tembak mati, kamkabut nak cari mamat jahat tu. Tapi, ini melibatkan nyawa, right? so, whats the difference between a life of an innocent girl who was tortured sexually and killed in gruesome manner from the lives of two policemen who died on duty? To me, no difference as all were humans...therefore, there shouldn't be any difference in the manhunt of those killers as well."

I also do not mean to kutuk or underestimate PDRM...just hopefully they would think about what i'm trying to say as I feel there is a double-standard treatment here.

Izleen said...

tu lah joesniper...aku rasa kalau depa nak buat filem ke tulis buku ke pasal Nurin ni, tunggu lah case closed. Nak buat sekarang, rasa tak sesuai sebab masing2 masih tiada jawapan. Kalau nak kata depa nak buat filem ke apa ke, tak salah as long as En. Jazimin bagi green light...tapi aku harap depa bayar lah royalti...jangan sengap je, tul tak

UMMI YL said...

kalau nak wat filem tu cam ambil kesempatan tak?

yelah selalunya depa ni kalau wat kalau tak Fikir UNTUNG memang tak sah.....

lagipun tak relevan lansung dengan keadaan sedih, kes belum selesai, sibuk-sibuk nak filem....
