KUALA LUMPUR: Police recorded statements from Jazimin Abdul Jalil and his wife Norazian Bistaman at their home in Wangsa Maju over the kidnap-cum-murder of their eight-year-old daughter Nurin Jazlin.
A police team from Petaling Jaya led by Asst Supt Loh Pei Pei from the Sexual Crime Investigation Unit questioned the couple on events leading to the disappearance of Nurin on Aug 20.
Jazimin, who later spoke to reporters, said the police would inform him as soon as the culprit was nabbed.
“I have asked the police to let me talk to the culprit. I just want to ask him why he did such a thing to my daughter,” he said.
The police team who questioned Jazimin refused to comment or reveal the details of the statement recorded.
Nurin was found stuffed in a sports bag in Petaling Utama on Sept 17. Meanwhile, Bernama reports that police might consider using “psychic expertise” to in investigations if there was such offer from experts.
A senior police officer said however this did not mean that the police could not solve the case on their own.
