KUALA LUMPUR:

The reward for the safe return of eight-year-old Nurin Jazlin Jazimin, who went missing two weeks ago, has increased to RM13,000.

The Federal Territory Umno Youth yesterday offered RM5,000 to those who could provide information on the whereabouts of the girl, of Wangsa Maju, here.

Its chief Datuk Mohamad Norza Zakaria Mohamad Norza said 24,000 posters bearing the girl’s photograph and her family contact numbers had been distributed to the wing’s divisions and branches.

“We have also mobilised 1,000 of our members to distribute the posters to the public in the Klang Valley. Members in other states have also been asked to join in the search.”

Norza also urged bloggers to publicise the search for the SK Desa Setapak Year Two pupil in their blogs.

Nurin failed to return home after going to the night market in Section 1, Wangsa Maju, at 8.30pm on Aug 20.

An eyewitness claimed that he saw the girl being dragged into a white van.
